UH, ABOUT 1891, THE REMAINING THREE BAY SECTION WAS COMPLETED. UH, WHILE THESE BUILDINGS ARE UNIFIED IN DESIGN, THERE IS A STEER, A STEEL, A CLEAR DEFINITION OF THREE SEPARATE BUILDING UNITS, UH, DUE TO SPACING IN SIZE AS WELL AS THE BUILDING HEIGHTS. UH, THE BUILDING WAS PRIMARILY USED AS A GENERAL MERCHANDISE OR GENERAL STORE. UH, THE EXTERIOR WALLS IS WOOD FRAME WITH WOOD STUCCO APPLIED. UH, THE BUILDING HAS A STANDING SCENE, METAL ROOF. UH, IT IS ALSO LOCATED IN THE FEMA SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREA AE THAT'S THE 1% OF ANNUAL CHANCE OF FLOOD. AND THE BUILDING CURRENTLY HAS VALID PERMITS FOR THE RENOVATIONS OF THE THREE SECOND FLOOR DWELLING UNITS, THE INTERIOR RENOVATIONS TO THE FIRST FLOOR AND THE REAR ADDITION THAT YOU PREVIOUSLY APPROVED. IN 1908 AND 1909 ADDITIONS WERE ADDED TO THE CORE UNIT OF THE CHURCH IN THE FRONT AND REAR. AT THIS TIME, THE CHURCH SPACE WAS CONVERTED INTO TO A COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENT OFFERING STORES A POST OFFICE AND A THEATER. THE FRONT EDITION IS ONE OF THE MOST SUBSTANTIAL AND SOPHISTICATED DOWNTOWN COMMERCIAL DESIGNS. PRIOR TO 1920, THE TERRACOTTA HOLLOW TOWEL SUPER STRUCTURE WAS COMPLETED AND WAS PROBABLY INTENDED FOR FIREPROOFING. UH, THE RIBBING ON THE SIDES OF THE HOLLOW CLAY TILES PROVIDE A GRIPPING SURFACE THAT AIDED BOTH IN BONDING, STRUCTURAL CLAY TILE COURSES AND ALSO IN BONDING OF PLASTER OR STUCCO TO COVER THE TILES ON THE BUILDING, INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR. AND THAT IS THE, UH, THE ADDITION HERE WITH THE SUPERSTRUCTURE GONE UP WHERE THE TERRACOTTA BLOCK REMAIN. UH, THESE HOLLOW CLAY TILES ARE NOT HARD FIRED AND USUALLY DO OR DO NOT, ARE NOT GLAZED OR WATER RESISTANT SURFACES EXPOSED TO RANDOM WATER. THE TILES WILL CHIP SCALE AND DETERIORATE RAPIDLY. THE USE OF THESE HOLLOW CLAY TILES FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS BEGAN IN THE 1850S AND BEING BEGAN DISAPPEARING FROM COMMON ARCHITECTURAL COMPONENTS OF CONSTRUCTION AS EARLY AS 1930. THE TILES WERE LIGHTWEIGHT, WENT UP QUICKLY AND COST LESS THAN THE OTHER BUILDING MATERIAL. AND THE TILES WERE USED FOR FIRE RESISTANCE, SOUND AND HEAT LOSS PROPERTIES. UH, THE THEATER LOT OFFERED LIVE PERFORMANCES AND FILM SHOWINGS. UH, THE THEATER SPACE WAS THEN USED FOR MOVIES ONLY AND EVENTUALLY WENT OUT OF BUSINESS AROUND 1950. THE REAR BRICK ADDITION HERE WAS ADDED TO THE STRUCTURE AND THAT IS USED, WAS USED AS APARTMENTS. [00:15:02] UH, THE STAFF FINDINGS AT THE TERRACOTTA HOLLOW CLAY TILES DO NOT ADD ANY SIGNIFICANT HISTORIC ELEMENT TO THE MAIN STRUCTURE. UH, THE SUMMARY OF YOUR APPLICATION, THE APPLICATION IS FOR NUMEROUS EXTERIOR RENOVATIONS AND THEY DO HAVE ATTACHED SET OF PLANS, UH, FOR THESE. AND WE CAN GO OVER THOSE. UM, BASICALLY 13 ITEMS THAT THEY ARE APPLYING FOR. IF YOU LOOK OVER YOUR DRAWING, UH, THEY ARE LABELED THERE.
